Many scenarios exist where UVa personnel may wish to share specimens or data with another researcher or a UVa researcher would like to receive specimens or data from another individual. It is often confusing to know what type of IRB approval or other documentation is required.
The IRB-HSR has developed two algorithms which may help you in determining what is required.
