Matt Dooley

Matt locates, announces, and tracks all limited submissions funding and award opportunities. Prior to joining the Research Development team in 2022, Matt has been a member of the UVA community since 2016 where he worked at the UVA Children’s Hospital supporting the pediatric inpatient team, newborn nursery, and child abuse and advocacy team.  Prior to joining UVA, Matt served on active duty in the U.S. Navy in various assignments including onboard nuclear submarines, the Pentagon, and the Presidential Retreat, Camp David.  Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.  In his free time, Matt enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and attempting to conquer escape rooms.
