Maureen Olmsted
Maureen advises and assists faculty in creating competitive approaches and proposals for large and complex funding opportunities. Before coming to UVA, she worked as a research project manager and research development manager at the University of Arizona and at Arizona State University. In those roles she helped develop NIH, NSF, DoD, NEH, and private foundation proposals. She has experience working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, merging STEM, social science, and humanities. She has also worked as a clinical trial manager, IT project manager, and, most recently before coming to UVA, the Research Navigator and ClinicalTrials.gov Administrator for VCU’s Wright Center CTSA. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing (swing, ballroom, and Latin) and various crafts including fused glass and sewing.
