April 25th ResearchUVA PBH “Soft Launch”
What do I do in ResearchUVA PBH vs Legacy ResearchUVA?
The University of Virginia has embarked on an effort to replace its homegrown research administration system, ResearchUVA, with the industry standard Software as a Service (SaaS) Huron Grants and Agreements. The system will be known as ResearchUVA Powered by Huron (ResearchUVA PBH[BB2] ) and will launch in late April 2022. The ResearchUVA Powered by Huron project is sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research, and UVA stakeholders have been engaged since the project’s inception.
ResearchUVA PBH allows for full electronic proposal routing, in-system budget development, notifications; and supports system-to-system (S2S) submission to Grants.gov (including Grants.gov validation). The S2S functionality eliminates the need for a separate Workspace or ASSIST submission in most cases. ResearchUVA PBH also allows for the management of awards, award modifications, and contracts/agreements with workflow and functionality that replaces the forms and much of the email correspondence currently used with the legacy ResearchUVA system.
ResearchUVA PBH will also provide significantly more transparency into the status of proposals, awards, contracts/agreements, and outgoing subawards.
The ResearchUVA PBH project reflects extensive input from across the University of Virginia research administration community that led to the selection of Huron's Grants and Agreements to replace the legacy ResearchUVA system. UVA stakeholders have been involved with the selection and implementation efforts since their inception. Learn more about the implementation [this will include a link to the project governance sub-page].
The implementation go-live date is currently scheduled for April 2022. View the project timeline.
